The Kathmandu is a family run business specialising
in authentic Nepalese cuisine from their homeland of
Kathmandu which nestles below the mighty Mount Everest.
The Mali family have been treating Bristolians to their exotic
cuisine for over thirty years. The whole spices are roasted,
ground and mixed on site giving a unique flavour.
Kathmandu dishes are well known for being high in taste and
low in fat, so are healthy as well as delicious!

Nepalese Platter - for 2 people £9.95, 4 people £15.95Wo, Mo Mo, Chicken Chhoyla and Lamb Chhoyla
Mo Mo - £5.25Nepalese dumplings made with chicken and lamb or vegetables and served with a sesame sauce
Kukura or Prawn Chilli - £5.25Spicy chicken or prawn pan fried with fresh onions, peppers and green chillies in a sticky Nepalese sauce
Prawn Puri - £5.25Tiger prawns simmered in light spices and served in a deep fried puri
Chhoyla - £12.95Lamb or chicken cooked in charcoal with ginger and garlic in a hot 'sizzler'
Kukura or Masu Natapole - £12.95An exotic tasting dish made with slow cooked caramelised onions, fresh tomatoes, cream and coriander
Kukura Narial - £10.95Chicken breast cooked in the Tandoor, sliced into strips then slow cooked in a spicy coconut milk and cream sauce with a squeeze of fresh lemon
Kancha Kukura Special - £10.95Charcoal cooked chicken taken off the bone cooked with strips of peppers and spring onions in a spiced sauce
Dhal Masu - £10.95Lamb cooked in channa / urid dhal. A spicy dish with a sweetness from the lentils
Sunkoshi - £15.95This is Kathmandu's unique signature dish -
Sea Bass cooked in a medium spiced Nepalese sauce,
served with Nepalese style pan fried potatoes, asparagus, saffron rice and fresh salad
Sag Aloo - £7.50Fresh Spinach and potatoes prepared with delicious spices
Muttah Panner - £7.50Peas with homemade soft Nepalese cheese
Dhal Tarka - £7.50A blend of Urid and Channa lentils topped with fried onions and toasted spices (tarka)
Vegetable Janmalta - £7.50Highly spiced dish cooked with fresh green peppers, onioons and fresh scotch bonnet chillies

Sunday: closed (but we are open on Sundays before a Bank Holiday Monday!)
